haha, alrighty, i did it. i did what nadia told us to do, and deleted alllllllllll the emo posts on my blog. okay, so maybe not all, just those in the first 50. kinda lazy, hah.

sooooo, it's 12.22am, and i just got home. this is my most tiring holiday day ever. tiring as in physically exhausting. met jean and we went cycling. and zommmggggg, i got this crap bicycle that was super hard to ride, and in 5 mins i felt like i cycled like 10000000000km or something.
switched with jean halfway, and after a few mins she wanted to die too. i mean, sporty, volleyballer jean okay. so guys, if you ever go to east coast park to rent a bicycle, no matter what the cost, please do not get a pink bicycle, because it was really horrid.

then i had to rush all the way to sengkang for lg, and i was really late because jean wanted to stop for fries. took a cab from marina square to sengkang, bless the taxi driver. he was really nice and helpful, he knew i was late and so he took the fastest route possible and everything.

uppersec lg was good, had great fun with all the peeps, awesome people! (:
i kinda can't wait for church camppppp, i know it's gunna be so fun, yay.

then i rushed over for bandfarewell, decided i had enough time to go over after all.
poor chyiwei had to bring me around west mall cuz i had to help my juniors buy gifts for our conductors, which they forgot to buy. and in the end, the conductors didnt even come! wtppp.
bought them cookies, and i just realized all gifts are so terribly over priced! a small bouquet of flowers consisting of three stalks of roses costs $27.50. and the cookies i bought were like $7.80 for like 9 pieces of cookies, which were so small i'm sure i could have stuffed them all in my mouth at one go. ( i can stuff my fist into my mouth!! :D )

so anyway, as i was saying, i'm totally physically exhausted because i was late for every single thing that took place today so i had to run around all over the place. i totally travelled from like east to west to north to south of singapore. feels like an amazing race, haha.

ooh and yes, i got my voice back, thank God, though it's still a little low and raspy, but i like it :D
it's sexy, ahaha.

well well well, i've not bathed yet, and i can totally smell my stink. so i'm going to bathe now, chow yall!

Jesus you hear and you heal,
hallelujah praise the Lord,
king of all kings!

flu season's up and about,
everyone's getting sorethroats nowadays.
no one's getting it as bad as me though. i think.
third day running, still haven't gotten my voice back yet.

my evil grandfather, sister and father made me chew on raw ginger, claiming it was good for my throat. i chewed on one and refused to it the others, and eventually they allowed me to eat the rest with honey. trust me, it was no better.

here's a
list of remedies i've tried

1. drinking bottles of warm water
2. eating raw honey
3. drinking hot honey lime water juice thingy
4. eating ice cubes
5. eating pi pa kao (doesnt work at all)

so anyway, i've been drinking lots of fluids lately, drinking soup for lunch and dinner, all that jazz. woo, 'all that jazz' sounds so cool huh. lol.
lots of water especially. cut me up, and you'll find that my blood has become more diluted than other people's.

a number of people have seized this opportunity to gloat and tease.
brian, for one is having a time of his life right now. lol.
my SISTER, evil evil sister, is eating ben&jerry's right infront of my face.
whatever, i dont even like ice cream, but it's just that she's eating something i can't, haha.
my sister's not evil, SHE'S THE BEST SISTER IN THE WORLD. (:

happy birthday natalie! (: party was great fun.

sleepover with the girls was greattttt.
watched enchanted with them, the movie ended at like, 1.15 am.
took the nightrider for the first time in my life, the fare was THREE DOLLARS.
so expensive, but cheaper then riding a cab i guess.
gave grace and i an early 'surprise' birthday celebration,
i absolutely love the box thing that they made, with lots of nice pictures they pasted of stuff we like (:
and of course, the barbie doll they gave me.
hah, that's my deepest, darkest, secret.
i have a fetish for ugly barbie dolls. lol lol.
i love ugly barbie dolls, cos i think they look exotic. and i love barbie dolls' hair.
i'm so glad i got to spend 2 lovely nights & two lovely days with you all.
thanks for the lovely presents girls (:
i love you, aiwee rachel grace julia jocelyn joy shusze rophi cheryl (:
and of course, culture (:

i am happy today.
bought seven new books(: (: (:
extremely happy.
i love to read.
it is my haven.
currently reading one of the new books i bought.
Like the Flowing River, by Panlo Coelho

i didn't know it, but the author is actually a christian.
it's a collection of short stories and reflections from the author.
in it, are little glimpses of the author's insight on life, relationships between humans,
and choices.
in quite a few of his stories, he touches on the subject of God,
and really, i'm so inspired and touched.
the respect and awe he has for God, the beauty of God's creations...
what more can i say?
he got my fire burning for God again.

i didn't even mean to buy the book, i just found it, hidden behind some books on the bookshelf.
the cover looked pretty enough, and the title was intriguing, so i bought it.
little did i know, the impact it would have on me.
i'm so glad i bought it.

which brings me to the subject of choices.
a good friend recently told me,
" Nothing is meant to be. it is the choices we make that changes things. "
(paraphrased)
shan't tell you what made her say it.
but it's really true.
there are millions of choices to be made, with a million different outcomes and a million different consequences.
but once the decision is done, there's no going back.
there isn't any point thinking back, going 'what if'
because really, too bad, it's all been said and done.
it's our past, and the choices we made in the past that make us who we are today.
it was once said that even if we could turn back time and live life again,
we would still make the same choices we did in the past and still live the same life,
because we were who we were then, none the wiser.
every decision, every choice is critical, because once your mind is set, and the deed is done,
there's nothing you can do to change it.
just like time, once it's wasted, you can't have it back.
or like words uttered at the heat of the moment.

there is a theory that nothing in nature is ever lost-
that every sound ever made, every word ever spoken,
still exists somewhere in space and time, and may one day be recalled.
perhaps on judgement day?

this post is random.
but i don't care,
just a thought that i have,
and blogging helps me think things through,
sort out my thoughts.
so i am sorry to have bored you (:
your kind audience is much appreciated.

other books i have bought:
The pact by Jodi Picoult
Possession by A.S. Byatt
Middlemarch by George Eliot
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland And Through the Looking-glass by Lewis Carroll
The wind-up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami.

i knowwwwwwww, sounds so yummy right!
can't wait to read them all!
if you are wondering about the Alice in wonderland book,
i don't think it's the disney version.
i think it's the real version, like The little mermaid by disney is so not the
same as the real version of the little mermaid,
where the mermaid has to commit suicide to save the prince that she so deeply loves,
who ends with some beautiful princess person or something.
at least im hoping it's not the same, because the book is quite thick, more then 300 pages.

anyway that reminds me, i've been meaning to ask.
i've been reading a number of sidney sheldon books lately,
and he writes those thriller, mystery type of books.
the content is pretty much grosteque,
with erotic sex scences and gruesome murders.
is it wrong to read it?
i mean, i dont take pleasure in reading the sex parts or anything,
but the plots are really good, with unexpected outcomes
and exciting twist and turns.
it's just that it sadly comes with those parts,
to portray what a sick, twisted person the character in the story is.
like a pastor has a male partner, etc etc.
how? how?

wellllll, going for band again tomorrow.
i miss band so much.
and i miss my section.
i love them.
and i miss playing the saxophone,
lost my touch already.
played the baritone saxophone on friday,
because caspar wasn't there.
that saxophone is nearly two thirds my height,
and i had to gasp for breath every two bars.
i used to be able to play six bars in one breath,
with a good tone.
sad, right.

well, back to my book reading (:

holidays have not been holidays at all.
been so tired.

Jesus, let me find rest in you,
never let me go.
i love you,
i need you.

am suffering from lack-of-sleep syndrome.
whatever that is.
yet, here i am, blogging at 12 am,
even though i still have to wake up at 6am tmr for school.
slept at 4am yesterday, woke at 10 am.
watched the game plan with jonathan, leon, mark, samuel, aiwee, rachel.
boring.
boys are terrible shoppers.
rushed home to bathe and change and get ready for chitty chitty bang bang.
i love the songs, they're so happy and fun.
and i love the background when the car is flying and the whole stage is filled with stars.
so beautiful.
some parts were hillarious, especially when the bad guys were in it.
the vulgarians or something.
the children-catcher was so scary,
he had such a creepy voice!
it was all high and sing-song like.
the parts where the good guys were in it were kinda boring,
but i love the lullabye the dad sang to the kids.
hush-a-bye-mountain or something.

girls looked gorgeous, grace dressed topped to toe with branded stuff, haha.
i think they all added up to more then 200 dollars, thanks to her
NINE WEST 150 DOLLARS SHOE.
hahah. tsk tsk, spendthrift.
love aiwee's jacket.
joy wore the bangle i gave her(:
rachel and the huge hole in her tongue, haha.
jocelyn and her rockin' new hair.
shusze and her D.I.Y dyed hair.
julia in her mango shirt.
cheryl in her slippers.
rophi is MISSING.

fun times, fun times.
can't wait for the 3 days 2 nights sleepover next week.
am very tired now.
i think i'll wake up at 6.45 instead.
joy is gunna kill me, i'll be late for sure.
sigh.

council farewell tmr,
it's overnight,
so i probably wont be sleeping again.
double sigh,
this is such a tiring week.

'' shall we accept good from God, and not trouble? "

/heavily edited.

praise the Lord, for he has a plan for all things.
i see now.
i don't know for sure if you'll catch me when i fall,
but i'm not afraid to try.

it's so funny how just a sentence from the bible,
a phrase or even a word,
can just change your perspective, your thoughts,
your feelings about things.

you were right, friend. thank you for reminding me time
and again, of the importance of reading the bible,
reminding me how much Jesus loves and cares for me.
thank you for trying.
i hope we will remain friends for life.
thank God.

so tired.
woke two hours ago.
council chalet was alright.
except the chalet itself was weird.
didn't help that it was so close to old changi hospital.
whole entire night till morning of hardcore bridge playing.
from 12am till 5am.
lack of sleep makes you high.
giggles and laughter at the most random things.
hui shi and rachel struggling in a bid to be named most bimbo.
'cool and calm, cool and calm girls.' rachel goes, when we saw a moth in the room.
rophi throws a tissue paper at her then, 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!'
apparently she thought it was the moth.
so much for 'cool and calm'.
shared a bed with huishi.
slept from 5.30am till 9.30am.
was cold.
left soon after to catch the 9.50 shuttle bus to pasir ris mrt station.
long train ride.
came home, and slept like a log for six hours.

rest of the week will be kept busy.
going out tmr with jonathan, samuel, rophi, rachel, and whoever else jonathan calls.
chitty chitty bang bang musical at night with rachel aiwee grace cheryl joy shusze jocelyn julia.
will be missing upper sec lg because of the musical. sorry!
some jc talk on friday morning.
going for band after, i think.
then council farewell at night.
the theme's 80s.
i think im just going in jeans and shirt, hah.
staying overnight in school.
hate bathing in school.
don't know what to get for the juniors in council as a farewell present.
sigh.

then there's so you think you can dance.
sldaklfjdskfnskdfmsdfm.
i so do not think i can dance.
i don't wannaaaaaaaaa.
they dont allow us to quit ):
going early to practice on saturday.
sigh.
at least we got hannah to join us.
sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
bringing charlene for service.
hope it'll do her some good.
know she's going through a rough patch right now.

money money money,
no money.

woe to me.
at least my holidays are packed,
keeping me busy,
takes my mind off other things.

grow hair growwwwwwwwwww.
i wish i had magical beans.
like those in jack and the beanstalk.
i'd plant them on my head.
and they'd grow real long and real fast.

thanks natalie, for saying i look like dora the explorer.
i feel so much better now. haha.
im just kidding.

been living with a heavy heart lately.
with no rhyme or reason.
the fire's slowly dying out.
light it again, somebody.

but i'm happy today,
God has been good.
so many things to be thankful for.

i've burnt a hole in my pocket. not literally.
needa keep on saving.
finally finished paying for camp, left with love offering.

far past these roads
there is a place
where all our precious dreams remain

someday i know
i'll find a way
to keep myself from holding on

stay awake with the sound of my voice
i'm restless from the silence in the air
i want to be somewhere i can see the roads
a place where everytime you breathe a wish comes true
i want to be where love is real
and memories of distant days come to life again
inside this room
time will stand still as long
we're not aware of change
the world outside
leaves me behind by myself
there's no mercy for those who hold on

got this from the class blog, posted by cuifen.

There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town.
One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit.
Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak...'I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage.
On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright.
I stopped the lad and asked, 'What you got there, son?'
'Just some old birds,' came the reply.
'What are you gonna do with them?' I asked.'Take 'em home and have fun with 'em,' he answered 'I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight.
I'm gonna have a real good time'
'But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do?'
'Oh, I got some cats,' said the little boy.
'They like birds. I'll take 'em to them.'
The pastor was silent for a moment.
'How much do you want for those birds, son?'
'Huh?? !!! Why, you don't want them birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing. They ain't even pretty'
' How much?' the pastor asked again. The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, '$10?'
The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy's hand. In a flash, the boy was gone.
The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot
Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free.
Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story.
One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting. 'Yes, sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all'
'What are you going to do with them?' Jesus asked.
Satan replied, 'Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to drink and smoke and curse. I'm gonna teach them how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I'm really gonna have fun!'
'And what will you do when you get done with them?' Jesus asked.
'Oh, I'll kill 'em,' Satan glared proudly.
'How much do you want for them?' Jesus asked
'Oh, you don't want those people. They ain't no good. Why, you'll take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you.You don't want those people!!'
'How much?' He asked again.
Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, 'All your blood, tears and your life.'
Jesus said, 'DONE!'
Then He paid the price.
The pastor picked up the cage he opened the door and he walked from the pulpit.

): my heart broke after i read this. he loves us so much. i love him so much. Jesus, jesus, jesus.
three more papers to go. can't wait.
