as we were having rides on the truck and in the van around this countryside place where our accomodation was held, we passed by alot of villages and stuff. there were kampung chickens with their little baby chicks at hand frolicking around the grass freely, geese and gooselings, and even a herd of cows. the villagers stood at their doors and their windows, outside their houses and waved at us as we passed. there was a village square, and just one school. there was this place were loud music was played and it was crowded with villagers, and what really struck me was the life they led that was just so carefree and humble. i think i would really want to experience that kinda lifestyle. sigh.
now comes the really awesome part of the camp. white water rafting. it was like the best. ever. ever. rophi and i were made to go on this boat with ncc guys we didn't really know, and we were apprehensive at first. but it turned out really really great! lets see. hmm. wilson, amar and um. ok. i can't really rmb their names. but they were really great fun. i can rmb their faces alright! it was really like a rollercoaster ride. and i dunno why? but somehow i couldn't hold on and wilson, who sat behind me and which i didnt know previously, was really like. sweet? i dunno. he tried to protect me so everytime there was a bump or like a rapid was coming or when we hit a rock he would push me into the boat so that i wouldnt fall out of the boat. sadly though, this strategy did not work because i did fall off the boat. i can't exactly rmb what happened but one moment i was on the boat and the next moment i splashed into the water and tried to grab onto something on instinct, and ended up with a handful of wilson's shirt i think. he and the instructor had to pull me up the boat. my situation wasn't as bad as joy yeo's though cos she really honestly almost drowned. she was stuck under the boat and almost couldn't breathe. all i can say is. it was a really great experience. especially when we our boat got stuck on rocks and we bounced bounced bounced and our instructor was like 'shakira shakira.. shake your bon bon' haha which i thought was really cute(;
waterfall absailing, caving, SHOPPING. gosh. shopping with gina joy and rophi was like. the most frantic, exhausting, fast, kiasu, enjoyable experience ever. we ran ALL OVER the shopping centre. we really really ran. we only had 1 and a half hrs and there were like a gazillion stores. mr g was the shopping king. he came back with bags and bags of things. he bought like alot of adidas watches and all. i bought 2 shirts 2 pairs of earings and a hairband. plus food for my family and i only spent 44 dollars! if it were a typical shopping spree here in singapore i'd spent 44 dollars on like. just 2 shirts luh. and maybe plus a movie.
devotions at night. especially the last night. really gave me a new perspective on council. im really sorry ______ but it really was.. ahh. it's hard.
BRIDGE WITH JING MING NAT ROPHI CALEB JOY YEO in the bus was like ultimate luh. especially playing with caleb chng. when u play with him u can't help but cheat. especially if he's your partner. haha. it was really really really fun. we played throughout the journey home. nat and i are the unbeatable duo aren't we? haha. though we lost as many times as we won. but you know we almost won when nat bid 6 clubs or something. we managed to win 9 sets okay, not an easy thing to do. joy yeo is a bridge guru. honeslty she is. and jing ming wants to eat my toufu. haha. just kidding.
overall. camp was awesome, fantastic, super, great! i really got to know alot of people better. like fiona, fion, yiling, joys, gina, rophi, nat and jing ming(nat and jm esp), caleb and wilson from ncc. i thank God for this wonderful opportunity, and thanks wilson sum. really. thank you.
